I just occured to me that on my 88 110, the only original bit on it is probably the chassis.It has been rebuilt at least once from the ground up using second hand body parts and numerous engines.
Apart from consumables, at what age did you defender stop being original?/ how old is your original defender?
 
Got a '93 110. Original bits are:
Chassis (minus rear x member)
Engine main block
Rear Tub
Seatbox.

That's about it. Starting to turn into Triggers Broom!
 
1984 110. Other than a couple of engine upgrades - 19j and now 200tdi, - and replacement rear quarter chassis and 2 outriggers - it is as original and scabby as has been possible to keep it. :D
 
Well seeing as it is all rusty, I am guessing the only bit that has been replace on my C reg, 90 is the rear cross memeber as it was repalced so it would pass its last mot.

The rest is all supper rusty so its prob all origninal, poor thing needs a re build.

my 86 110 csw other than engine 3.5 to 3.9 , and clutch ,exhaust and brake pads and a couple of bushes , and s/abs all original even wheel bearings , chassis never been welded either . :D:

the 90, tub and sides, bonnet, screen and roof and doors :eek:

Mines is very original, so original it even has the paper spec behind the driver's side door in tact & in accordance with what is written on there..see pic below...

1990, 110 Defender 200tdi. All original except for the rear cross member which was fitted last year and I have just replaced the front axle for a heavy duty Salisbury one. The original one was bent on a trip to Morocco.
I have also replaced all the bushes for poly type ones.
 
me 110 double cab is standard apart from the ifor williams back , but the old 90 the chassis and body panels :doh: oh and the gearbox (not the transfer box though :rolleyes:)
 
1986 90 pickup Originally

Now has galvanised, modified disco chassis, 200tdi engine, disco front axle and hardtop. Some of the frame and interior still looks original :)
 
1987 90 original apart from:
rear crossmember (td5 one )
engine (200tdi)
converted from hard top to county spec
tyres and other accessory mods
 
1995 110 - All completey original, apart from the Rebel steering guard. A few mods planned though.............
 
Wings, bonnet, some parts of the tub and roof.

It's rather like Caeser's sword: three new hilts, four new blades and two new scaboards. Apart from that it is going strong!!!!!
