very nice s3 there and 2 large spotlamps too!

OI! she's not a series 3!!!!!!!!!!! She's a relatively rare 1969 series IIA, they put the lights in the wings in the final year of production before they went to series III's. I admit the plastic grille is misleading, she lost her original metal mesh IIA grille at some point and that was substituted, the pic was taken shortly after I first got her, but I managed to source an original late IIA metal mesh grille later on, which you can just see in my avatar pic.

omg.
its a boy racer white astra with a private plate!
sporty car it aint.

the s3 looks nice thoough.

boy racers have massive alloys, thats got the right size alloys for handling. boy racers have a massive exhaust, that has a small oval exhaust. boy racers slam their car, thats at standard height. boy racers fit a big bodykit, thats the origional gsi kit ............. shall i go on ??

please dont assume everyone who buys a sporty car is a boy racer, and 0-60 in about 6 secs and 150 mph+ top speed does make it kinda sporty ;)

YAAAAAAAWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNN!

hehe I'm no girl racer either (yet) seeing as the land rover was my first car I missed out on all that early on so am making up for it now. Got a 1.4i (nowhere fast!) but got a 2.0i OHC waiting to go in, standard brakes (uprated items to go on before the new engine!) only 15" alloys (couldn't afford bigger, I'm on a shoestring budget) not slammed to the deck (need to negotiate farm tracks and speed bumps lol) standard exhaust (for the moment) and half a GSi bodykit (well it didn't have a front end at all when I bought it so I thought I might as well stick that on)

All might change once my new engine goes in tho.... LOL

Nope - it just makes it not-quite-as-**** as yer average crap car. This is a Land Rover forum: we're not into "fast". Anyone that wants to go quick can get themselves a ZX-10 or an R1.

you can do what you want to it and spend all that dosh and itll still look like a luton lugworm.
if you wanna go fast, buy an atom. or a lotus 7. and **** all over the lugworms.
(probably cheaper too).

I'm 22 an have owned a 90 for 18 months (spent a year looking for the blooding thing)and love it to bits (except i broke it and it's sat waiting for new engine) I'm a 7.5 stone 5'3" blond so you can imagine the looks i get when i walk upto mine!! Kind of annoying when people assume it's my blokes but funny when they realise it aint!!!

Your not alone!

i see we have another LOL er here.
do people really laugh out loud to there own jokes?
or does it stand for loser on line?

Im 26 and my Landy is 35 :)

1971 S3 Land rover, ive only had it 1 week and love it already, its in the process of being put back on the road at moment (pics coming).

I live up in North Wales, looking forward to going camping and off roading, misses is well up for the play time too. Anyone else from up this area and know any venues round here?

Hey well im currently 26 and driving my NAS conversion 90. You get some great looks esp when the roof is off and the shades are on. However my first Land Rover was a 50th Anniversary when I was 23 just a shame I had to sell it to repay my uni debts.

Land Rovers are great much more enjoyable that any hot hatch

i'm 35, i dont own a land rover but work as a technician at a land rover dealer.

i drive a mk5 cortina with a disco 3.5 V8 in it

best fun you can have with your clothes on!!

I'm 25 this is my 3rd Landy.

I've got a 110 V8 CSW, sounds sweet on twin carbs. If you look through the archives you will find pics of my last Landy a burnt out Freelander V6 ES.

As i read through all these posts it still makes me laugh that some younger drivers are trying to compete with cav mobiles.

Don't bother!!!!

If it wears that green oval badge it's worth 10 of the others. I've been there and had fast cars also.

Why spend 5 grand tuning a corsa when you buy a Scooby??? Or better buy a Landie!

your landrover is fighting fit then clivees? I'm 22 now but had mine just over a year, So nothing wrong with that. Oh i also have a Mk2 Golf GTi (Yes i have a small penis) as well as a Audi A3 1.8t which is my sensible car and also the most boring. Just had to work had for the ££.
