rubbish, have another read - it may be used as a fuel for domestic usage but not within a motorized vehicle

if it were legal every fooker would be running round with a tankful at 40p a litre, or whatever it is these days

Sean, Sorry mate yer wrong ,,,This is an extract from HMRC ...

It is Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and not the Police who draw exception to people using vegetable oil & other methods as a fuel. However, as long as a fuel duty of 27.1p/litre is paid then the driver is well with in the law. It is possible to make these duty payments directly to HM Revenue and Customs yourself. To do this simply phone the HM Revenue and Customs National Advice line on 0845 010 9000. They will send you a form called an EX 103 which you need to fill and send back to them. Once your application has been approved you need to send monthly declarations of how much veg oil you have used.
The duty that you pay on vegetable oil is the same as that on high grade bio diesel and is tagged at 20p less than that of the ultra-low sulphur diesel which is 47.1p/litre.

Co-incidentally the "Fuel Duty" on Domestic Heating Oil is ...27.1p per litre

the Main reason people don't use it is .. they THINK its akin to "Red Diesel" (it aint) & they;re scared because they THINK they;re gonna get caught ..

Actually if you take that to the letter of the law it COULD be construde that even "Red Diesel" IS legal for road use (as long as you imform the HMRC of how much you use) & pay the 21.7p fuel duty direct to HMRC

Taking that further say Red is 50p per litre + yer 21.7 Fuel duty making LEGAL Red diesel around the 71p per litre mark or 50p CHEAPER than at yer local Pump!!!!!!

well that's a slightly different angle than that which was mentioned before - peeps reading previous posts would have gotten the impression they could just fill up from their CH tank and drive full of kero for a third of the normal price per tank

62.9 in Morrisons Rhyl, + you get double points on your miles card for LPG, so you get a fiver back and every now and then !

Double points for LPG in Morrisons, the one in Coventry doesn't do that....( as far as I know...)

I get LPG at 64.9 on the A38 on the way to Burton Total Garage and 62.9 in Morrisons Coventry plus loyalty points that give me a fiver back every 4 or 5 tank fills........ could get it cheaper, but they will not accept my fuel card....

Aberdeen...

Unleaded - 116.9p
Super Unleaded - 119.9p
Doosle - 120.9p
LPG - 62.9p

Well, we dig the stuff out of the ground up here.

This was at the Somerfield in Paddock Wood, just by the Hop Farm. Luckily I drive past it on my way to work.
In general, LPG is a rip-off in the Southeast IMO.

75.9 at Harbledown Texaco in Canterbury

75.9!!! thats just a rip off!!! Will avoid that one!!

Has anyone tried the Morrisons fuel stations about 60p per lt at the two i go too (Failsworth & Chadderton) manchester/oldham way.

Thats the price you pay for living in Kent, I have the same problem in Maidstone, although not LPG but derv for my RR is @ £1.25 per Litre.
I think I know that filling station your on about, wouldn't be the one on the main drag from the docks on the right going towards Folkestone?? They have always been expensive.
I fill in London South East on way to work. Derv £1.18 per litre, LPG approx 63.9 Per Litre.

I found my local cheap station at West Meon had put their price up to 69.9p a litre yesterday. Very unimpressed.

They used to be the cheapest around here.

Hi Folks,

Haven't read all the posts so apoligies if I'm repeating info.
Check out petrolprices.com, register and chuck in your postcode, cheapest prices for all fuels.
Last time I filled up was £0.59 for lpg, max £0.629.
