I constantly see "USA EXPORT" and the like popping up on adds for the older landys, and why not with some wagons going for $70k+ over there it fills me with a bit of hope for the price of mine.

But to what extent do you lot reckon it actually adds to the value of the vehicle?

I was offered a serious $80k for my 110 as it stands. That included me having to do all the paperwork & shipping.

I declined.

Gives an idea though.

But yours would not legally be allowed to be imported. How would that work?

AFAIK, unless it is 100% std, all parts are to the correct spec and age of 25 Years old, it makes no difference.

If you are going to export it then it may make a difference in what it is worth to you.

Be aware a lot of those adverts on the bay etc, say USA Export and are complete BS.

25 years old and has to be exactly as it came off assembly line. Chassis can not of been replaced, as in it has a new galvanized chassis

He had a way, which wasnt fully expanded on and part of reason I refused (other reason is im not done yet! lol) I didnt want my 110 being crushed 6 weeks/months/years later...

Theres a company in the US (Venom maybe?) Selling 1980s LS3 130 pick ups for $250k+

Thats what im trying to get at, all these 25+ complete stock motors that aren't worth that much here. How much does it add to their value?

IMHO, nothing.

Unless you are going to start a business buying them all up and shipping them across the pond, But for domestic sales absolutely naff all difference.

Crazy money. My merkin mates think im super rich because I drive a 110 Dcpu... Apparently a 110 DCPU sold for $45k!!

He needed to be able to drive it through three-feet of water at 50 miles per hour !!

Lol aye right  after paying that much I wouldn't even take it out in the rain o_O
50 mph through 3 feet of water? if nothing else, it'll aquaplane a bit!

LOL, before coming to a sudden stop.. Ooooops.:p:p

Cheers
Yeah, the air intake looks like it's either under or on top of the right hand side wing (fender in Merkanish) and even the mighty Chevy LS3 lump won't go too well when that's full of water. Hydraulic locking on that thing will cost another small fortune.
