it depends. you can easily spend 10's of thousands restoring it, or you can spend less just touching up.
 
In the past i have spent thousands of pound's on series landies, and i said i would never do it again.
Then i picked up this solid 109 FFR for £150
Chassis and bulkhead are solid.
The five bearing engine runs as sweet as a nut.

am keepin this one ;) BUT might have another 2.25 fully rebuilt to the same spec later in the year

cheers fer the offer mate but got the old 2.25 at home awaiting a rebuild ! just a quick question the bottom of the head gasket seemed very wet...any ideas ?
 
hi all,im new to land rovers just bought a series 3 88" diesel for £550 owned it for a month and spent around 700 on just parts mainly on the springs(parabolics) and shocks(procomp)and new set of rims and every day a new problem shows its face so as a newbie to landies i would say a rebuild would cost a alot more than that unless you manage to pick up a solid one in the first place that just needs a tarting up(unlike me :frusty:)but ill keep fixing it up and keep the family tractor alive and on the road(touch wood)
