i would hear the garage being destroyed and see the crane arm going through my bedroom window, by that time i would probably do something about them.:violent:

I would install a Viper with tilt sensor, all door switches and a radar type sensor which if beams are reflected, will trigger alarm.

I would install actuators for the door locks, seems very easy for my 97 Defender to hook up and have the same Viper control them.

Install the Viper control unit deep under the dash even if you have to remove part to get to the underside. install two sirens one under the hood and one pointing downwards under the rear of the Landy.

if you live in the UK use a 7 AmH sealed lead acid battery to power it up. You can get an isolator/charger for it which will limit its charge current and install that under the dash too.

That's is what I will be using for mine.

Re the detachable steering wheel, I bought an aftermarket wheel and boss on ebay for about £60 delivered. The seller also had detachable bossi for £30.

I bought a fairly cheap central locking kit from ebay- consisting of four door solenoids (two front, two rear) a wiring loom and control module, and some fittings. Simple enough to fit- you have to find a location for the motor where it can operate the lock mechanism and also clear the window when it's wound down. The back door takes a little more ingenuity but can be done. The two front doors use 5-wire motors which mean that locking/unlocking either front door with the key will do the whole car.

On a 90 you will have a motor left over after doing the rear door. For a 110 you can just buy an extra single motor and connect it to the rear side door circuits.

I have a Toad Sterling alarm system fitted which will operate the door locks.

I have hawk central locking kit then a toad AI606. Got it on my landy and another car and have been great. It's cat 1 so pretty secure.
