any more than £200 you are being stitched up but you must have the pulley tool to change otherwise it will cost a damn site more when the chain drops, what makes you think the pumps gone anyway

Oh really £200, thats more what I was expecting..

Well, pump had fuel coming out of it, so we opened it up whilst on the car, and its been off before as had black gasket sealer in it, and that had broke up and deteriated hence why it was leaking.. Have resealed it and put back together but now its not starting..

Gone through 2 batteries so far cranking, loosened injector pipes whilst cranking, and the fuel is only dripping through... was gonna try another battery charge and try the injectors for a bit longer... but still not started again...

The smallest ammount of air will stop it starting.Make sure everything is bleed. Also consider the ECU has lost is sync.
If your looking for a good guy, try All wheel Drive services over at Brantham Mill, Nr Manningtree.Top fella, one man band, but he has all the gear including Testbook.

So apart from going over everything again, is there anything else i can do to help it start? whats that about the ecu losing its sync?

Its not unknown for the BECM to lose the code for the engine ECU, especially after draining the battery right down.
