an ES TD5 On standard wheels to the roof bars, I have seen it quoted as:

1941mm
1890mm
2100mm
1935mm

I understand that it raises up 20mm when the enging is turned on and the doors closed for normal driving. I have a 1980mm height rerstriction at my work car park, so need to know asap as going to have a look at oe on Saturday.

CHeers all. If I see one driving around Ill get my tape measure out. LOL.:D

 Mine has all the hights indicated on a plate on the back of the sun visor. Mind you, I don't have air suspension. I don't go into places under 2 metres.

Also, have had problems even then, when backing into parking spaces. Quite often there are beams at LESS than the indicated minimum, which would be no problem for a conventional boot or bonnet, but can catch a Landy shape. I have a dent in my roof (hospital car park in Newcaste) to prove it. Termainal 5 Heathrow has the same problem (but then it has a lot of problems...:D ).

Hi Alex.

Firstly,
Why not jess take yer tape measure with ya on Saturday

Secondly,
What are all them numbers for
Height?, Width?, Length? and What?

Thirdly,

Wazzat in Feet n inches anyway? :D

If you look on your sunvisor(drivers side) it should give you the height etc with the sunroofs too(if open)........ mine does :D

It shouldn't rise automatically when you turn the engine on, unless you have air suspension on the back and it's sagging overnight, which it shouldn't, but isn't unknown.

It has air suspension on the back, I will check the sunvisor on Sat cheers. The heights were all in millimeters (MM), my car park is 1.98m clearence (1980mm) so hopefull should bo ok, ill just park on the roof! Cheers all.

Ahm assumin then ya don't have to go through the car park to get to the roof  or did ya mean wheels up like

Terminal 5 has NO problems with hieght below 2.10m there is an area on the ground floor for overhieght vehichles, my Disco can fit in normal parking and in fact was used for the hieght restrictions, so based on a standard Disco.................. Please dont slate the place unless you have a real car parking problem and then report it to the staff...We have fek off big bars to STOP Overhieght parking....

Not true. I parked there last week. Reversed into space as usual, then noticed that there was a slanting beam right next to me. If I had been slightly to one side I would have hit it with the roof. This is a common carpark problem. I'm trying to train myself to notice it a bit quicker! No problem with the main roadways, but you definitely need to watch it in some of the spaces.

Going there again next week - I'll see if I can spot one and give you chapter and verse.

The car is 1980mm high to the roof bars, really don't go under anything less than 2m!!!

The carpark at my work has 2m height and i cringe everytime i go in it, swear i'm gonna take the roof off one day.

The T5 car park was desighned to be able to take a standard transit (new shape) with beacons on the roof ie 2.1m obviously to allow access to Emergancy services and AA/RAC Etc, there is a couple of aircon conduits in the park on all levels except level 4 Fastrack.
So far there have been 3 strikes ie High roofers crunching into the barrier BUT they didnt get in and caused concern only to the owners as they had been daft enough to disregard the 3 sets of flashing lights that told them they were overhieght!!!!, the day of the Paralympics return a chap turned up with 2 disco's one had been extended up and that fitted. if there are any concerns then use the lower ground by coming into OVERHIEGHT parking we can get artics in there. If you do have a drama crunch into it and claim!!!! oh and tell us and we will do the same, im searching for the bit today....cheers
The place is still a bit tomtit though and if you are parking for any length of time prebook it at BAA.COM For better discount. bloody £4.00 an hour!!!

Cheers everyone, it wasnt on the sunvisor but it said in the book, 1.94m to the roof without roof bars, and 2.1m to the sunroofs when fully open. I didnt measure the bars but they are about 4com, so 1.98m sounds about right. The height limit is 1.98m in my work NCP! Oh bugger, Im gonna take one of my work Distos in and chack it before I try I think, either that or remove the roof bars. Going to gatwick to park in about 4 weeks but in an outdoor car park so thats cool. The ncps in Manchester seem to be higher generally than leeds, maybe Im working in the wrong city!!

I don't know if there is standard way of measuring these things but I find some 2m car parks are a breeze and others scare the sh1t out of me....

Deflate your tyres!!!!!! only kidding, if you do hit and it clearly states 1.98m not only wont you be able to claim they can claim damage against you!
We recently parked in a minging multi-storey in torqauy that said 2.0m i got in but by god it was close, good job the missus spent the National debt on clothes to wiegh it down!!! But dont you duck going in them i do like it's going to help get under the bar like some bizarre Limbo dancer, With the steering lock on a disco it's somtimes hard to get round some of these older multi-storey's.

I could get round my work car park in the Evo and thats much worse turning circle than the Landy! I found one with a 2.05m height, so gonna use that one from now on.

Maybe not, I have found one with a 2m clearence so gonna try to get a ticket there, there are concrete ties in my, supposedly 1.98m car park as low as 1.93m, there must be some legal issues there, either way Im gonna have to move.
