guys...

how heavy do you reckon the tub off a 90 is? just roughly

got to pick up a crew cab tub tomorrow (roughly the same size!) and wondering if i can pop it on the roof...

dont want to have to take the trailer as picking up something already with the towbar and dont want to have to make 2 trips!

Could you not wack it on top of whatever you have in the trailer ?

not really.. ... its a bit too flimsy

i was thinking of strapping it to the roof bars on the mitsy ?

I'd estimate the weight at 50 kilos which is the normally the limit for most commercial roof bars. I think the problem would be getting it up there!

I saw a few photos of a car with a rear series tub on the roof so I would say yes but how you gonna lift it on and off?

Is it bollocks. I've lifted the tub off my 90 and carried it thru the garage , on me lonesome. Doubt it weighs more than 35Kilos. 2 peeps should get it onto a roofrack no problems.

Yes takes all the weight off the back door. which are notorious for falling apart under the weight of a spare.
