Think it's the position of them makes em illegal on the highway.
They're NOT an MOT fail cos they're not illegal to have.
So every HGV that has a set of spots on there roof is braking the law :scratching_chin:
There not an MOT fail cos auxilary lights arn't testable items.
Normal plod may not but traffic willNo probs. The thing is, even if you DO obey all the rules - half the MOT testers and half the police won't know what is OK and what isn't! Someone on another board carries around a print out of the regs to shut them up

Correct me if im wrong but your original point was THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND WILL FAIL AN MOT
There not illegal if they can only be used when the main beam is on
i was always under the impression if they were wired direct to main beam that was illegal , looks like i have to stand corrected
If they are wired direct to main beam you'll blow a fuse
I was confoosed cos I got fogs on mine which is a different kettle of fish
well shut the fook up then and stop causing an arguement
Who said anything about wiring them direct to main beamIf they are wired direct to main beam you'll blow a fuse and melt stuff
I was confoosed cos I got fogs on mine which is a different kettle of fish
Who said anything about wiring them direct to main beam
Who said anything about wiring them direct to main beam
No point in having fogson a roof Bar, cos they need to go low on road. The beam patern is different to spots or headlights.
to save argument i am leaving them as they are and just switch them on when i want them.
Your call
But it wont save an argument
