Hi everyone,

Things are moving on quite a bit now - got a new (secondhand) floor out of a 90 tub which will fit perfectly with a little sliver cut off. Somehow managed to order the right petrol tank for the 88 incher from MM4X4 :D - for all you lot with dodgy brakes you might want to take a look at their special offers ;)

Anyway, I'm trying to get paint enamel/tekaloid - tried both Avenue and Breakwell who can supply all I'm after but for over £215 (cheapest quote) which means you wouldn't want to scrape a bush at that price!

Paddocks don't do ACID8 etch primer anymore in case anyone thinks of looking there or Mid Grey paint... though otherwise they would be ok...

So, I'm looking for Synthetic Enamel Deep Bronze Green & Undercoat, LandRover Mid Grey & Undercoat and an etching primer suitable for both Aluminuim & Galv.

Buckley Bros,Beamends,Paddocks can't supply all the above in the order :(

Has anyone else had difficulty getting the lot in one order from any company just to do the job?

Might have to fork out the 200 + quid but I suppose I'd be better trying to see who can supply what from where!

Any Ideas?

As always,
Cheers

prob needs a new screen then?
aint cheap eeever.
what make is it? i got a spare dell lappy here.

Time you get a Toughbook yella disco ;)

No matter what Ormus, you have some link  Thanks, I can ask them for a quote and see what they're like...

YD - remind me, is it a 13" TFT on a 4030 CDT ? If it is I might have one kicking about. I'm stuck at work at the mo but I'll have a look tonight. ;)

avenue coatings do tekaloid at around 15 quid per litre.
what was on your shopping list to make it 200 odd quid?

Hmm we're still knocking round the 200 quid mark unfortunately.

Land Rover Deep Bronze Green x 3 Litres
Land Rover Mid Grey x 2 Litres
Undercoat x 5 Litres
Etch Primer (ACID8?) x 3 Litres

And postage which is a rip off at around £30/5 depending on co. to IV20 for that order

The thing is I'm not loaded and have to budget to buy a new /recore the orginal radiator (any recommendations), new wiring loom (current quote from Autosparks is over £200), new tyres £200, trip to galvanisers £150ish,random parts £2/300ish - can't find a brake pedal assembly for a series 2a either:confused: , alternator £1**ish - need to look around for one :D and on top of that an MOT and Insurance;)

There's food for some thought but at least all that's gone on/in has been absolutely solid/new.

Still I'll be a lot more happy with this when I have it on the road than any Porshe:)

what part of the brake pedal assembly are you after, ive got a ser 2 bulkhead for spares in my yard with all the brake pedal in tact, ive also got a ser3 brake pedal

Stick it on Ebay?

I'm after the actual pedal assembly, the bit that bolts onto the footwell with the pedal attatched. Chuck away/keep the cylinder though. Mine had rot on the face that touched the footwell - yours might have the same problem which you can't see with it bolted in but on the otherhand the clutch assembly I took off the vehicle is fine - though the pedal's jammed down since it was taken off. Think that might be a cylinder fault but as a matter of course I'm replacing the brutes now rather than skin my knuckles (again!)

What is it with these series vehicles? I've also got another dead bulkhead for spares and then one that I'm hoping to weld up and get galvanised and see how many $ it fetches! That's not including the one that's going on ;)
