Never had a problem cruising at 80/85mph on the French autoroutes this year. 1800 mile round trip.... not bad for a '97 tdi300.

Dunno absolute fastest it'd do, but I've done 90 mph on a number of occasions, with some left, cba to go any faster.

Before i removed egr etc it would struggle to get to 90, now with no egr, de-cat front and straight through middle pipe and a little pump tweak it easily does 90 ... More importanly for me when not doing 90, like this weekends sticking to 60 on motorways (towing caravan) and being gentle on the throttle it'll easily do 450+ miles to a tankfull where previously I would get 325 ish - 400 ish ... but it's still got a lot of power (now) in reserve .. :)

90 in my 2002 TD5 is pretty OK. Occasionally get there when overtaking on the A9. Usual cruise speed is 60-65mph.

Once above 65 the right hand pedal acts more like a "volume control" than an accelerator pedal... :)

I usually drive mine at 50mph.. rarely go over that.
It's a discovery, not a racing car, for speed I have other toys...

When I first took the egr off I thought "let's just see..."

2 in the morning, autobahn, an easy ton. Allegedly.
Glad the new donut was on though!

Never again

60 is enough for me, maybe 70 with a rush of blood (and a full wallet)

my disco did 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds today and reached a top speed of 108 mph !

it was ****ing me off so i drove it over a cliff :)
