Well I was about to travel all over Surrey/Hampshire looking for a half decent disco and I found one 8 miles away!!

8 miles aint so bad, especially driving it back without insurance:crazy_driver:

Oh I was fully insured, after someone at work brought a car had a small prang on the way back got done for having no insurance and then had to fork out £500 to have the car repaired

1994 km flew from Poland to manchester to buy one last year then drove it back (2000km)that night and the next day , did the journey without a hitch, the wheel bearings packed up 2 weeks later but that was about all i had to do to the motor, i sold it about 8 months later to buy a LHD version as it doesnt look like they will change the bloody law on registering RHDs here any day soon.

My latest Disco came to me, bought it off one of my friends...

The Disco I just sold went to Lithuania, buyer drove 1400 miles here to collect then 1400miles back!

i went on train from leeds, to edinborough then to inverness, (8hours) then bought it and drove it home 400 miles in a v8 with no gas...was fun though

Buying privately, I don't suppose it matters, there's pretty much no reason to visit again. Buying from a main dealer, again the warranty should be ok anywhere. From an independent garage with the usual 3 months warranty? You're not going to want to travel far because the horn stops working.

Looking far and wide can get expensive over a period. But...if you find the right car...

Just spare a thought for those of us who live in the middle of nowhere. Nearest LR dealer....50 miles.

hi, my nearest lr dealer is in turku and it´s about 400km away... no, in tampere, only 330km away so thats about that. i have to do all in home :)

I live near Bath and travelled to Edinburgh to look at my previous 110.
