I've looked a couple of times now, mine is loose and reception is rubbish but how the hell do you get to it???

I can trace the wire going through a rubber grommet but not actually how to get access between the bulkhead and wing?

to get to the base of the aerial you need to take the plastic inner wheel arch out, about half a dozen phillips screws hold it in, they're a bugger to find though as they'll be caked in crud.

I found it easier to take the wing off than try to get in through the wheel arch. Much easier than mucking about in the dark and dirty depths.

Pop out 3 (or is it 4) bolts around the door hinge, 6 Phillips screws along the bonnet edge, prise off some gunk and you're in. Found out the hard way, but it's a pretty straightforward fix to be fair. Should only take a few mins.

The harder part is re-routing the new cable if the new antenna doesn't match the existing ISO plug. I wound up gaffa-taping the old and new cables together and tugged through from inside the cockpit. Job done! :)

If you have got a cb radio you can get a splitter box that allows your radio to use your cb aerial - have a look on ebay.
