Evening all

I was asking in a different thread about free wheeling hubs i wasnt going to bother geting any but a friend had a pair which i swaped for a couple of beer tokens.:)

I want to fit them to see of there is any difference but the question is how do you fit them ??

I wont have any instrutions with them, can anyone tell me a small step by step guide to fitting them.

Many thanks
chris

As good as any others at that levelof the market. Faireys are the best IMHO, if just for the easy engaging!

about all yer need do is take the drive member orf yer hub (6 bolts) and replace with yer FWH's

If they're Faireys then yep, like Slob sez, piece of ****. Only asked the make cuz saw some strange'uns advertised that had an odd spring yer had ter fit as well.

So you just remove the castle nut on the end of the shaft remove the 6 bolts on the drive member refit the castle nut then the fwh ?? is that right ??

Are fairey ones good ??

make sure yer got the reet ones as series drive shafts came in 10 or 24 spline versions

i would have thought that there are sides to em. seem to remember you have to twist them both forward to engage... but what would i know, ive never owned a series! just watched some guys fafing about at the start of greenlanes :D
