To clean the roof I use a long handled soft brush I bought for cleaning the caravan. Do as far as I can from the back then stand on the side steps and hold on with one hand to the roof bars for the rest. Easy from both sides,
Use stepladders to polish roof. Only about twice a year. Polish rest of car on a monthly basis.
