As I am currently still looking for a replacement car and trying to decide between a Disco 300tdi, RR P38 or a Jeep Grand Cherokee (don't laugh at that last one please) I have been doing some research into parts availability, price of parts, even how good the forums are for providing help and advice, etc.
One of the comparisons I did was looking into the insurance costs and for a RR P38 4.0SE it would only cost about £60 more per year then for my current Suzuki GV1600.
The biggest suprise was that if I add my wife to the insurance the cost would come down by £6 per year (compared to just myself) - now my wife has not passed her driving test and has held a provisional for around 5 years (she give up as she could not get away with changing gears)
......... and I am 49 next week, have over 10 years no claims, which would have been 31 years or so if some kind person had not smashed up the back end of a 6 week old car in a supermarket car park while I was in shopping around ten years ago.
Has anyone else found this ....... add your wife to your policy and see if it reduces your premium??
So if you see a Rangey of JGC with L plates on you know who it may be.
