Stick a prybar under the seat and lift it slightly then use an hacksaw to cut thru the offending screws. Once you've removed the seat you'll find a metal panel. If you remove that you'll see the gearbox Handbrake drum and the road.

cheers guy, i'l give it a try. once I cut through them bolts, wat else is holdin the frame and seat back in place?I cant see nowt from where i'm standing!apart from dog hair, mud and toffee wrappers!

The seat is held only held down by the screws on each corner of the seat. It been a while since I removed the seats on the 110 I used to own but I seem to remember there been 2 screws on each bracket 8 in total.

Mine was bolted from underneath. Get a spanner onto the bolthead in the cab then get under the motor to have a go at the nut.

Them there wires: have you got speakers in the back? If not, you probably did have oncer upon a time.

Or leave the seat frame in and get one of the cubby boxes that sits on the frame. Then you can easily convert back to more seats if required. Also the cubby box will sit at the same height as the door top making a comfortable (as can be possible) driving possition.

i removed the panel under the drivers seat and reached under the seatbox to hold the bolts with one hand and a spanner to lock, then undid the screw on top. Bruised my knuckles and hurt my neck but saved knackering something with a saw...

If it's a TD5 you've got you can't do that as theres gizmos under the drivers seat - and I wouldn't muck about with a saw as the wires coming out are the feed for the diagnostics computer at yer dealers.. but then I don't know if they ever had middle seats so I'll shut up
