Hi,

I have been looking for a Disco for a while now, ok only 2 weeks, but it seems like ages.

I think that a great one has come up. Its a July 04, Series 2 Facelift, Landmark, its done 25k miles and looks lovely.

I am going to see it tomorrow evening with hubby and if we like it then we will take it out for a test drive at the weekend.

We have read a fair bit about the Landmark but I can not work out if it comes with ACE as standard. Most vehicles advertised on the net seem to have it included but lots of the write ups say that it is an optional extra.

How do I, or rather, hubby tell if its on there or not? Is there anything else we should look out for when we have a look at it?

Thanks in advance for your help

Nikola :D

there is a little yellow light on the dashboard in the lower left quater which looks like a disco with arrows arching over the top. This lights up during key ignition, I assume while testing the ACE sensors and electronics.

failing that, wang it round a very tight corner really quick, if you get tyre squeal and little body roll it's a safe bet it's got ACE.:)

Just been to see the car and I think that I am in love :p Its really lovely, we are going back on Saturday morning for a test drive. I turned the ignition on and could not see the light with the arrows. In the bottom left corner there was a disco going up a hill, another one going down a hill and a blank bit to the left of them. I am assuming it has not got ACE??

I had a look for the cd changer too but could not find it? I think I was looking in the wrong place though. I looked under the passenger seat not the drivers seat! Its a dealer we are buying from (as long as it drives ok) and he was not sure where it was either. I trust this dealer though as he is a good friend of one of my clients. We will have to have a look in the light.

I am very excited and can't wait to take it out :D

Don't let yer heart rule yer head - it's very important to make sure it's got a full sevice history and a good / long warranty. Series 2 Discos are complicated / expensive motors to fix, with lots to go wrong.

It has a full main dealer history and warranty till 07/07, which we will extend and keep up the main dealer history. On the surface the disco seems to be very good value for money and comes from a reputable source, one of Tricksy`s clients asked the dealer to source us a car and the client and dealer are friends, the client we would trust with our lives!! We test drive it at the weekend and will see where we go from there.

Cheers for the advice though.

Thats great, thank you. Again I think that I was looking in the wrong place! I will look again on Saturday when we take it out

The CD changer on mine is under the drivers seat in a little cubby hole with a flap down.

You do realise that if you buy this Disco, it is a one way street.
You will never love another car again... sad but true!
