Hi all,

I've recently purchased a 1987 Defender 90 and the hood lining was in a sorry state (mouldy, stained etc) so pulled it out. However, it was essentially carpet glued to the roof. I'm after a replacement but can't seem to find one!! Does anyone know of anywhere that maybe restores old landys who would have a hood lining that would fit that I could recover in new carpet? Or any alternatives to help with noise and insulation?

Thanks!

Slightly confused about the query.
Hood lining - do you mean roof lining? On a LR hood is usually a term for a soft-top but of course it is also what the Americans call a bonnet and bonnet insulation is often talked about on these forums.
Assuming you mean roof-lining your vehicle is obviously a 90 but hardtop or truck-cab and does it have a sunroof or alpine windows?

Plenty of roof-linings available on Ebay and of course you can get aftermarket ones. If noise & thermal insulation are important then yes you can get insulated ones.
