bound to be a goose nesting in the wheel arch

you just carnt her it above 30mph or she holding on tight and being quiet

I've had the same problem and it nearly drove me mad looking for the problem until close inspection revealed a number of geese trying to avoid the annual christmas slaughter by secreting themselves in my wheel-arches.

Top-tip........Wear protective clothing whist undertaking inspection, they're dangerous and desperate renegades.

Give the guy a break will ya!!

Notice he's from Northumberland, so geese and pigs hiding under the wheel arch are out of the question ... The honking noise is more likely to be a small flock of peasants as it's the open season for them up there at the moment!! :D:D:D

They don't use that pushy thingy on the stalk for anything other than to tell the sheep that they are safe for the time being!

However, if he can't find the hiding places, it could be worth checking the lube level in the steering balls, as a lack of it could cause the CV to make a grunting, growly-type noise which appears to disappear as the speed increases ... but doesn't really!!!
