As if I don't have enough projects, my defender 110 bulkhead replacement got paused due to winter and home extension delays, my Jag 3.8S full resto got paused to sort the defender, My XKR is running so I am pretending I can't hear the tick from the supercharger....
I purchased a new (for me) 2011 Range Rover 4.4 Vogue back in August and have opened court proceedings against the garage that sold it to me.
Which meant - I really needed a run-around.....
So having bounced the idea off SWMBO it was agreed that being forced to buy a cheap run-around would be good court evidence and lent credence to the fact that I couldn't drive the full-fat range rover.
Enter e-bay where I spotted a 2005 4.2 s/c RR sport with 70K miles on it for spares or repair (I know) I spoke to the owner who informed me it had a misfire under load on one cylinder, he was driving it as his daily so I negotiated the princely sum of £2800 and hands were shook.
It arrives tomorrow at 08:00 and I shall start to do some diagnosis. Worst case (I hope) is some sort of valve or head problem, but I'm thinking not. I will get the code reader on it and start from there.
