Hi
When I took my tailgate card off to replace handle it had a breathable membrane fitted and was fixed with rubber type sealer along the edge.So I carefully peeled it back then replaced and there was no damp inside.

I've got a new door'andle on the way cos the microswitches in the old one are intermittent, so I'll do the membrane at the same time.

I'll just have to find somewhere else to keep the goldfish.

mines like the pic above but i used tape on the edge al the way round..

seems like this thread going to help a few members out
