Does anyone know what these holes are for in my series 3 109, I tried getting blanking plugs for them but paddock spares don't know what they are, they reckon they are an aftermarket hole.

That is the hole for the hand throttle , just measure the diameter of hole and buy a wiring grommet blank to suit.

Thank you Blackburn, paddock spares said they had no idea what they were doing there.

Or I could fit a hand throttle for authenticity lol
Not had it long, I pulled the seats forward to clean behind them and the hand cranking bar is still there on its rack. He'd also had the tyres at the right pressures on the wrong axles, quite a difference in driving when they are correct

Hole size. But there's a bit of flexibility and if they are too small you can still mastic them in. I did every hole and its made quite a difference to the noise.

Where can one buy after-market holes? Are they cheap and easier than drilling one's own?
A thought on the dog problem: One could always superglue one's dogs arse to one's new after-market hole.

I thought the same, I found out what they were and told them, apparently not all Land Rovers were fitted with them, I might get a hand throttle and fit it, not use it, I think it would look better than a couple of plastic Grommets.
