My car passed its mot yersterday after i had the trackrod ends changed. On inspecting the advisories i found a small hole in the rear subframe nr side next to fuel tank.As it is only a small hole i think i would get away with sealing it.For now i have wire brushed and hammerited it.Can anyone suggest a more permanent repair apart from welding. Also dose anyone know how much a radiator support costs and can i change it without disturbing radiator.thanks

rear chassis legs are prone to rust ,proper clean up ,cutting out rot and welding up are the only way to repair it

by the sounds of your description mine has gone in exactly the same place.

it appears the old style snow plough type tow bar creates a mud trap...it was only when i took the tow bar off that i spotted the hole !

hopefully mine can be welded without dropping the fuel tank but am not exactly hopeful !
