as stated my disco 300tdi on a m plate seems to be holding back at 3000 revs it seems to jurk the car a lot as well does any one know or has had this problem? thanks

woteesed ... pipe from air filter to turbo can collapse internally, de-laminate, so flaps form cutting off the air suply. Indeed, all the air inlet pipes can suffer from this so it's well worth checking them all .. ;)

had a good look at the car the day took all the boost pipes off and checked them they all seem to be fine also checked the air intake pipe from the filter to the turbo that was fine as well. started the car with no pipes on turbo spinning free reveved it up a bit loads of pressure coming from the turbo so thats working. could this problem be coming from anything else? thanks

Are you getting any smoke?

Filters OK ?

waste gate stuck on the Turbo, try moving-wd40 it!

The lift pump is a common problem for lack of power (only 20 snakes) does it die on you going up hills?

there is a little but nothing to worry about. the fuel filter looks like it has been changed not that long ago. it seems to be a little slugish low down, have not tryed it up any hills yet.

There is a sediment filter too in front of the fuel tank, you have to be careful though as due to there position the bolt to release the bowl can be well rusty and prone to breaking!

jason had a look for that filter it seems like it has been taking off there is a bracket thing there but no filter. had a look at another disco and that one had one but not mine. think a might try a lift pump. will i be getting problems by not having that filter in? thanks

That will probably save you problems actually!

Yep...

Well it's a bit of a double edged sword actually, yes - they do trap a lot of crap and save your main filter, but they can also be a right pain in the arse - many are removed just like yours!

go it sorted wooo hooo :D. fitted a new lift pump and fuel filter and sender unit, which made the car 10 times worse, soon as the filter was primed with fuel took it down the road ran mint untill 3rd gear then just could not get it to rev at all, limped back to my garage got it on the two poster had a look at the fuel lines looked ok untill i got to the place where the sedimant filter was and saw that some one had just joined it with a bit of rubber hose and cliped it in to the holder, which was causing the pipe to close up when the lift pump was pumping,
anyway replaced the full feed pipe with copper and the car is driving like a dream know. thanks alot for helping any way :):):)
