I fitted a High Level Stop Lamp to day no big deal i know, but i have a DSE so its not meant to have one, thin disk on a grinder and a sharp hot knife and 4 screws and the jobs a good’un i’m well pleased with it, and a bonus was the plug was already there, £ 22.20 all in with post not bad :D

I forgot to say the post IS free BUT you have to buy £50 worth of bit or over, and tell him the paddocks price too, he will match it

hiya dopey mate , the hi level brake light you got was it an oblong one with the oe plug on the end of the wire ? if so whats it look like when fitted , i got one also but not fitted it yet because i thought there may be an extra bit of trim to go around the lamp as the aperture for the lamp is radiused and the lamp itself is squared off if you see what i mean :) .
cheers rick.

Rick your right about the extra bit, (about £110 extra) but i worked around that and didn't use it, i used a cutting disk (as thin as you can get) and a sharp old knife (heated up very hot) to cut the square edges,(so i didnt have to over do it with the disk) masking tape, and a marker, and a file and 4 small Philips screws, you have no overlap on the light so you have to cut it really exact, so mark it out well by laying the light upside down and marking it, then put the masking tape around the mark you just made and cut it with the thin disk, that’s why you need the file, and also take the melted ridges off from the plastic where you cut it with the disk, pay particular attention to the corner edges, you could put some sealant around it, but i didn’t need it as it was a very good fit, the plug is there already, then drill the 4 holes for the screws (black ones if you can get them, if not just go over the screw heads with permanent marker or paint, i would put a pick up for you but i have a blacked out windows and you cant really see the light from the outside when hi viz light isn't on,

That link doesn’t now work now (timed out) Land Rover parts, spares, Land Rover accessories, all models just search for it
