I'm wanting to fit a high level brake light to my older style rear door (doesn't have the area for the brake light on it).

I'm thinking of making a bracket that bolts to the to the door and the brake light bolts to this bracket.

Is there an adapter for this already out there that I could buy to save me the effort?

I can do the wiring bit no problem.

Thanks

One alternative would be to fit a duplicate set of rear lights in the corners of the roof. You could have just brake lights wires in or use the tail light filament as well. A second pair of indicators in the same position would work too.

I put one in my 86 110sw.
Came with a flat swivel bracket which fitted nice on the underneath of the top frame.
Hole with a grommet near by and the wires fed down through the frame and out to the existing rubber franger.
Tidy and cheap.
Off eBay and led bulbs t can't remember who I got it from or how much cos it was years ago, still working fine.
Could get you a pic tomorrow if you want.

A pic from outside doesn't show it cos of the tinted glass. Shows up when I brake of course but I'm on my own and can't press the pedal and take a pic.

I fitted a self adhesive Ring high level light. Has stayed put for years - but it would be dead easy to make a little bracket to bolt onto the door.
