I have been passing this Range Rover in Tooting, London for at least 5 years and every year it gets a little closer to becoming a totally
Hidden Gem.

Pre '87 MY judging by the lower tailgate release outside.
Actually the top & bottom 'gates look pretty good considering .. at least from the distance the pic was taken.

Actually a lashing eye, might not be strong enough with the brakes almost certainly seized .. no evidence of towing gear (an optional extra in period) but there's always the axle.

Lets hope the owner isn't one of these 'it's not for sale 'cause I will do it up one day' morons.

That's kind of me, albeit I am using while I get around to finishing it.

'Oops no offence intended; my remark was really aimed at people who hoard old vehicles on farms etc. & stubbornly refuse to sell to enthusiasts who either want to restore it or at least save rare parts. Eventually the vehicle dissolves into rust & is lost forever.

Or they think the older it gets, the more it will be worth, Nothing if, it rusts beyond saving.

I stand corrected, I thought my owners handbook described them as tie-down eyes though it's along time since I browsed the publication.

nb: regarding the speedo, I should know for certain this coming week if a repair to mine is possible.
You can rebuild them carefully
