Has anybody put a hiclone kit on their landy?and if so what do u think of them?save fuel or just a waste of money in the first place?

Haha.i had never heard of these kits before, and seen it in the paddock website.just another con by the sound of it!

just fix a red balloon to the front of your landy and a yellow one to the back will work just aswell

That might not be true . . .

The HiClones things will (as in WILL) cause obstruction in the inlet air flow, so inevitably power will be reduced, and the turbo may have to work a little harder too to try to keep manifold pressures up.

But the balloons might INCREASE the aerodynamic shape of the car and make it better. I mean, Landies have areodynamics about as good as bricks, so anything might make them better.

Hmmm..... I might tie a few balloons on the Disco in the morning!

My 2.5 n/a was choked up with two of these bits of kit before and after the air filter. Took it out breathes better does not go slower. Does not go any faster either.

think we've been ere b4? AND conclusion is always the same HIclones are ****e and don't work. IIRC someone has even before Un after'd their defender on a rolling road and they reduced the power output.

looking at that post again, is it legal to use the word "faster" in regard to a 2.5NA Landy?

I used to have one so I know about this.
