CHIPPED TD5

New Member
Hi to all.
I am from Richmond North Yorkshire
I work & play (off roading on green lanes) with Landrovers Disco's Range's Repairing Breaking Buying Salvage repairable vehicles nothing to badly damaged (they get broke) My main Landy is a 2002 TD5 (chipped & can get chipping at a discount) I also have contacts up & down the country for Landrover breakers. I got the landy bug of my father as he use to have Landys from me being very young the last been a W 109 that he replaced the 6cyl petrol engine with a Mercedes 2.2D but he got the bug cured & went onto a more true 4x4 the Mercedes G-Class.

hi, and welcome, does the chip my a good difference? how much wuld it cost to chip a 2001 td5 disco? cheers

Hi there.
Chipping the Defender by super chip's gives 22 BHP more & smoothes out & increases the torque, quite a big noticable difference in speed & when towing as i tow a 16 ft trailer a bit. The Discovery's ECU can be re mapped better than The Defender gaining more horse power & a better torque curve. I can get you a price tomorrow for your discovery. After using my 2002 110 TD5 for 3 years with out the increase power after it was chipped i could kick myself for not getting it chipped sooner not only for better fuel consumption but for smoother towing & not having to flog the engine as much now the power has been unleashed. Land Rover should have mapped the TD5's better from the start!!!!!!!

I have spoke to the people that do my chipping & the Disco's gain 45 BHP & 50 to 60nm of torque. The Defender is 22 BHP & 42nm of torque. I can get the chipping done for £475 that is a saving of £75 so if any one fancys it done let me know.

thanks for that, its on my list! be better than revving it like a tuning fork ta pull out of a junction ! they pull like a train when going but gutless below 2000,,,
