Hi still no joy with my 2005 FREELANDER 1 HSE TD4 radio code, could somebody please help it’s a
Becker Traffic Pro
Model no BE4765
Serial no 55025301
Many thanks
Joe

I’ve tried that route before and the couldn’t help
If an LR dealer won't help, then an email to LR customer services could be the way to go. The radio code will have been on the original build sheet, so LR should have it on record.
Alternatively you could simply replace the unit with something more modern, with modern features. ;)

Type on internet car radio codes it'll bring up a list I can't remember which one I used but I paid 7.99
Cheers I’ve called at a different LR dealer and got the code only to find the front passenger side speaker working any ideas this car is driving me insane 😩

It's not uncommon for the speakers to get water damage from water dripping past the window seals.

Replacement of the faulty speaker is the fix. Doing the job is quick. Getting a replacement HK speaker is not so quick and can be expensive too.
I had the same with my HSE. Just find a speaker that fits the opening. The HK speakers are nothing special. It may be you need to clean the connections on the original.

Please tell me there’s a quick fix 😂
If the speaker doesn’t solve it you may wanna check the wiring harness in the door. I’ve had to replace all the speaker wiring in my front passenger side door due to it rotting all the way up the cable inside the insulation. When stripping the insulation back to solder new wire on to, I was almost stripped right back to where the harness goes back into the car before I found shiny copper. There was a good 6-8 inches of rotten cable.

The speakers will be more than likely damaged and don’t work if you have one working a code would make zero difference

Only if the OP wants to be dealing with endless electrical gremlins. The Freelander is positive low hassle and low maintenance compared to a P38, even though the P38 is the nicer vehicle.
'low maintainence' 'low hassle' not theres two phrases you dont see often paired with anything land rover.

Come to think of it almost never with a 'free-its gone-wrong-lander':vb-drink:

So far, no electrical gremlins, just broken stuff (luckily) :)
Low hassle & Low Maintenance when you do <2,000 a years is pretty much every car on the planet I think. ;)
