Thank u. He's very old school and gets very cross that he can't work on a lot of things. He's not long got rid of a susuki vitara that he could do anything on. To a little bit more comfort (he works in the middle of nowhere, hence the 4xx and loves them)
If that pic worked, it's my daughter. Petrolley head family. The other one has just come back from Germany after racing the bf's evo lol

Check the Freelander fingernails it objects to certain colours. Land Rover have a colour chart for nail polish.

You could always try here ....

Update..fuel pump is in but still won't fire up. Has tried easy start and nothing. He doesn't have the other pump people were saying as it's a 54 plate facelift. Ideas please.

Freelander. Won't start. Turning over but won't catch. Had a light up but rac put it out. Came up cam shaft sensor as well as a few other things they dismissed. No light coming up now. Had a new camshaft sensor and a new fuel pump. Still won't start

Have you done the o ring which was suggested earlier? I know nothing of freelanders but for a couple of quid it's got to be worth a go.

It hasn't got one as it's a facelift it only has one fu else pump under the wheel arch. Sorry that is where u meant the o ring was didn't u. Under the bonnet on the other pump?

The O Ring is on the pressure regulator of the High Pressure Fuel Pump on the engine providing high pressure fuel to the common rail.

Thanks that's what i though u meant but it hasn't got one. It's only got the one pump under the wheel arch as it's a facelift.
It's all put back together again and I think the term was, he's given it bo##*ks and gonna get it taken to a garage to go on diagnostic for live data. Will update with findings eventually. Thanks guys.

Hi, it does have the High Pressure Fuel Pump on the engine. All TD4s have the HPFP - some have 2 additional lift pumps, your's just has the 1 additional lift pump (as you say, under the wheel arch).

Ah OK. Thanks. I have just said that to him and he said he doesn't have the tools to do that (he knows what u meant lol I didn't sorry) hasn't got spanner the right size. Think he's had enough now. We known the guy we are taking it to and we trust him. Thank u for putting up with my lack of knowledge lol
