Hi all and good morning to you.
I'm after a bit of your knowledge if that's ok :)
I have a 1994 Disco 300 tdi automatic, which I've had a couple of years now,it's good fun but just had to spend £850 on it getting I through the MOT (mainly rust, sills etc). Thought everything was sorted but then I noticed a liquid/squelchy sound coming from either behind the dash or around the gearbox area, it's really hard to pinpoint as its not there all the time...I've done a little research and think it might be something to do with the coolant or heater matrix?? Temperature gauge is ok, heating is ok, I'm sadly not mechanically minded. I'm a little worried as we're going from Hertforshire to Devon in 2 weeks, pulling a folding camper (yeah I know, great weather for camping )...any ideas? Should I get it to a garage ASAP?
Thanks
Hannah

If its in that area then its most likely something to do with the heater matrix which is behind the dash in the centre....is there any sign of leaking water into the footwells?

Thanks for your reply. Just had a look, Drivers side seems to be fairly wet but more towards the seat than rather at the back near the pedals? Passenger side feels a tiny bit damp, but again more towards the seat?

Im no mechanic but it could be the heater matrix weeping or leaking slightly then running down the transmission tunnel.

Might be worth sticking a post in the Disco bit on here and see if anyone more knowledgable can help ;)

Heater matrix, for sure.
It's a 6hr job for 2 people if they know what they're doing as it's a full-on dash board out job.

Don't pay any more than £25 for a 2nd hand one from eBay etc.
