Ive nearly finished making a custom rear bumper for my disco, before i paint it i want to weld on a pair of high lift jacking tubes to it, although i dont have a jack yet! What i need to know it what diameter tube is needed and how long should the tube be for the pin adaptor on a hi lift

i was lucky....my swingaway carrier came with a hilift jacking plate and bracket,maybe you could do summit similar

dont think i explained that very well, i dont mean i want to mount the jack on the vehicle, i want to know the dimensions of the holes in the bumper the jack fits into when you want to jack it up

dunno then mine has flat nose

They all had a flat nose. That's an extra what ya get for em so it'll fit in the jacking holes in chassis & Rear crossmember :doh:

The jack adapter's rod is 1 1/8" or 30mm.

just making some sliders for side of mine and added some tubes to my winch bumper used 42mm od tube with 5mm wall fits nicely
