MD90,
Fellow scot, Perthshire here. I have used Paddocks I think 6 or 7 times and thrice times had a problem with my parcel. Once an expensive fuel pump was damaged in transit. They had put my fuel pump in a cardboard box and threw some paper/packaging on top of it. The pump had come to rest against the bottom and one side of the box which meant there was no protection what-so-ever on two sides, one of which got damaged. Paddocks then insisted that I returned damaged goods to them, and I'd have to wait until they returned it to manufacturers etc. etc. In the end I had to purchase a second pump and wait for a refund for the first one (which did come in due course and I was refunded the full costs inc. P&P both ways etc.
My next order for quite a list of things arrived with a packet of 4 circlips missing from the box, aftwer an email they sent them out to me by 1st class post, but the job I had planned for that week-end had to be postponed until the following week-end as I waited for the missing circlips.
My second last order to them also arrived with 1 item missing, which was also sent out by 1st class post after I'd emailed them.
My last order arrived complete, but there was only two items in the order so it would have been difficult for them to cock that up.
A number of people have suggested LRDirect as a good supplier, very quick delivery times for Scotland too. I haven't used them yet, so cannot comment, but I did speak to one of their phone help people and he was very very helpful. I think I'll be going with them for most of my stuff in future.
By the way, bung your approx location in your profile so we know roughly where you are as you will maybe find people nearby can be helpful.
Oh, and welcome to the Loony Zone
Ron.
