Hi,
Here is a brief history of my love affair with the landcover marque....
Joined the army in 1983 and was taught to drive in a series 3 SWB...
Owned varies discos etc between then and august 2015
Retired from 32 career in December 2015 and decided to start my own honeybee farming business and further decided that an old s3 would be a good vehicle to support that.
Found a 1972 diesel on Gumtree in Inverness & travelled from Hampshire up to see it with my dad. Liked it & drove it home!!
A week later found out chassis & bulkhead were knackered as were the door bottoms, rear tub base, seat box so decided on a full rebuild.
Purchased a second 1982 petrol model which was in bits but came with a load of parts and started to make one good one from both cars.
Now in the final stages of the project which has taken more money and time than I ever imagined......I will definitely have spent more than the finished project will be worth on the open market but...hey ho it is not all about the only!!
Only two photos to bore you with...the first on the day I collected it from Inverness and the second taken on 23rd December 2015...Hopefully I will finish it by early 2016!!!
