I thought they were the ones to avoid not Richards?

I have a Shielder front bulkhead and it’s so poor I’ve decided not to put it on. The amount of fettling required to recut all the fixing holes and remove excess galv will take me as much time as fixing up my original. The brackets for the front vent flaps are solid with galv.
I have put on a Richard’s chassis. It’s been great. All the holes are drilled out and it’s been dream to fit up. I ‘T’ washed to key the galv then sprayed 2 coats etch primer and 2 coats Corroless chassis paint. Will inject with Dinitrol or similar before pulling through the wiring.

Maybe Shielder have improved of late, I know the rep wasn't very good for their chassis. If I was doing the job I'd have a good look at Maer, although not made in this country the prices seem very good and I haven't heard bad things
