Hi All,
Parky here from sunny Kampala just saying hi and glad to have joined the forum.
I am new to Landy ownership, although I did drive quite a few in the army, more than a few years ago...
I have just bought a little cracker on the internet and shipped it to Africa and it is currently stuck in Mombasa as the vehicle inspection team cannot find the chassis or engine numbers and won't clear it...
I have looked at the dumb iron area and that seems to be blank, .- may have been replaced but otherwise its in pretty good order but no sight of the numbers. Nothing obvious at all on the engine.

I think its a series 2a Lightweight from 1972 (according to the papers) see pic anyone know where the numbers are supposed to be ?Also - any ownership history/previous owners for this Landy out there? would welcome a swap of info etc.
Many thanks Parky

The pic should be imbedded in the text but it is now my avitar as well

Welcome. If the Landy is in Mombassa, then a few dollars ought to make the numbers suddenly appear: at least that's the way it used to be done. In any event, surely the vehicle is in transit - a good drive across to Uganda?
