Welcome to the lunatic asylum, been down there a couple of the times, as a civilian.
first time no road to Goose just mud, second time there was a road.
Reminded me of the Hebrides, only there it's heather , the Falklands it's ferns.

There’s an all weather track to Goose Green now! A ferry service East to West from New Haven to Port Howard and tarmac from Stanley to just past Fitzroy. Should be all the way to Mpa in the next 2 years.

My mate nearly convinced me to buy new L200 about 10 years ago. He spent £15000 on one, I decided to stick with my ole p38 scrapper. Only one of us still owns that investment :D;)

Welcome to LandyZone
I have a Mitsubishi Warrior but prefer my 110! Also had a Barbarian - swapped it for a 90

Hi! I’m working at MPA with British International Helicopters so we refuel at Fox Bay on a regular basis! I live at Fitzroy now but was in Stanley for many years. Was a Police Officer in the 80’s
Use to be Bristow S61s for transportation with Figas and the forces my time. The is a tour guide couple called Nobby and Gwynne Clarke who where from Foxbay. My last stint there was Jan to may 1990. I think the land still owned by the Marsh family on West Foxbay. Do or did they still have the Argies white fuel water station in Stanley near the army camp on the hill.
Funny enough I still occasionally listen to the FIBS and get Mercopress news.
Would have love to seeing the place but webcams give you good amount to see.

Thanks for reminding me of the death road MPA to Stanley, that was a scary route because of the ravines each side of the road.

Not fancy the Argies one after the war lots of shipping containers had spares didn't they.
Did you get a couple of bids in. I used go past the storage containers at Red03 when they began to close the Coastels and go to the army camp. Scary thought you saying that you were a police officer you must have had your work cut out for the lathered squaddies at the Globe.

It was pretty busy times then!! Nobby & Gwynne living in Stanley but no tourist since Covid. The Marsh families still farm most of the land as you remember it on the West. Leon has a new wife .
We still have the 61s plus the 189s for SAR. FIGAS still fly daily.

You can use an imagine sharing website like IMGUR or postimage.

or it's probably easier to "upload a file" the button next to the post reply button and use an image downloaded on your pc ;)
