I'm new to Land Rover's and the only I knew for certain about them is that I wanted one! I've now got a SWB Series 3 diesel with hardtop roof (anyone want to swap for a truck cab/ tailgate?) She need's another set of tyre's rear x-member, gearbox needs attention and a halfshaft has snapped in the rear axle. Apart from that she's fine. Even though there's still MOT until December I'm putting her through MOT soon to get a failure sheet to see if she's worth it. My brother spent £500 odd pound on his only to fail the MOT because the chassis was rotted beyond repair! Wally. Anyone in the Norwich area who could offer tips/ advice would be my fwiend forever and ever and ever and ever.....

Hi fellow Norwich person
I've a 110 V8 CSW, I did have a 90, but the chassis was like 'swiss cheese'; so I feel for your brother.
My sister has a 110 too, she's full of good advice, she's a Norfolk lass too. She's regular to the forum, so keep typing!

I should be buying a S2A SWB rolling chassis the weekend, I'm having the tyre's and gearbox and selling the rest as I can't keep it. I'll be parking it in my sister's front garden and she's given me strict orders it must be gone A.S.A.P or I'm in trouble, she's bigger and uglier then me and scarey so what can I do? I've just gotta pick the chassis up somehow. Do you know if the rear axle/ gearbox are the same between the S3/ S2A? One of the half shaft's in the rear axle has snapped and I was just thinking about putting the S2A axle on her. ;)

110 V8, sounds gigglesome. My bruv's was a SWB with a Rover P6 V8 and was fitted with Range Rover diffs, 80+ scarey. Call me a wussie but my Landy scarey enough at 50. I like the way she'll swerve to one side without warning following ripples or the camber in the road, keeps me on my toes!
