Hello all been on here for a few months and just got round to registering today, sold my 200tdi 3 door now have a 300tdi 5 door but its crap fuel consumption is a big concern.

How crap is it ginger? Get yersell a service kit and change all the filters and see if that improves it

yer may be right but it'll take more than a service kit and change all the filters to improve a freelanders off road ability

Snot bad. Depends how yer driving it and where. I currently get 32mpg wi my 200tdi defender unloaded and various driving styles

I'm only gettin about 23 mpg from my TD5

I can only dream about mpg's like that. Try 16 to the gallon in me V8

Hey up Cat5, not long had my 300Tdi and fuel consumption is scary specially round ipswich but then i did expect it to guzzle a bit its worse than my 3 1/2 ton transit , im doing all filters and egr removal this weekend in the hope it will improve a little bit.

Is that coz its usually parked in a garage waiting to be repaired???

"Yes i've only used 5 pounds worth of fuel this week" thats taking it to the garage isn't it ?? be honest
