Hello all, really great to be part of this big 'Landy' community. I am a 4x4 enthusiast as well but without a Landy, I own a Shogun Pinin. With a bigger family now I am thinking of a LR Discovery 3 or a Defender 110, really undecided.
I will start by reading this forum end to end, and hopefully I will take the best decision.
:D

Welcome to LZ. It would be a 110 for me, but I am a fair bit biased towards that breed of LR. My family are grown up now, so that might sway your decision. Didn't me  (safety for the kids is worth considering)

I am considering 110 as well as I could find so many upgrades, from engine (3.2 tdi Puma 280 bhp sounds amazing) to leather
interiors. Some of them beat by far reliability of a LRD 3 but also they beat their price . There are + and - for both so in the end I think a weekend test drive will convince me ;).

Cristian

welcome to the loonyzone, ;)

few of us have just bought a discovery 3

have a look in the discovery section , there's 4 x of us now that own the D3s

must admit the quietest and most comfortable landy i've had

Welcome from Cornwall. I'm a bit strange in here, having a D4, but the D3 is superb for big families, they'll still all fit in when they're adults and that V6 diesel is great. Good luck with the hunt!

For the love of God, delete your account and stick with Mitsubishi... you may have your name on a Land Rover logbook but the garage will retain ownership, and on the few occasions it's not in a garage you will go boss-eyed with one eye on the road and the other on the dash warning lights.

Just sayin'

There is a saying: "If it itches, scratch it" :))). In UK is the most common car, fairly good parts prices and if I will maintain it properly and on time, the garages will miss me :p... hopefully.

take no notice, lol a d3 is a superb landy to have , needs a regular service each year

others are just jealous cause it can go where hippos can't, use to own a hippo and know from experience a freelander wouldn't stand a chance keeping up with a disco , basic maths, it ant got the ground clearance ,
