I'm a fellow P38 owner and only joined myself few days back. This particular model has got its knockers, but I think it's a great mark and have owned mine for five years now. There's an awful lot of vehicle for your money. Hopefully the message system will not drive you crazy. It can tend to tell you things you don't want to know and, quite frankly, are often nothing wrong!
I don't know how much work you do yourself, but just ensure the oils and filters are changed on schedule, to protect the engine/gearbox/diffs - though probably teaching granny to suck eggs. There are alternatives to marching these vehicles off to the main agents when you hit issues with them and this is just the kind of site to help out with alternative advice. So welcome.
