Hi all , I'm Pete and live in Burnley, I have a 2003 freelander with all the usual wrong with it , boot dont open but did, electric windows dont work etc etc however yesterday its started running really rough is lacking power and is bellowing black smoke under load or 3000rpm plus , any ideas what this could be please and a rough idea of cost , it's the last thing I need when I've spent up for xmas , any answers greatly appreciated thanks ...merry xmas

Have a poke under the bonnet see if there’s a pipe loose/split could be something simple.
As mentioned your best bet is the FL section. Don’t worry about the boot electrics they can be sorted, check the black smoke out first
