Just about to take delivery of my first LR FL1. TD4 2006. 145k miles. Metallic dark green, almost BRG. Have wanted one for ages and prefer the 1’s to the 2’s with the spare on the tailgate.

How do make sure the vehicle has all its bits and bobs and take note of the servicing been done if you need extra advice feel free to post a question on the Freelander section for an in-depth research.

It’s got some service history, enough to have a bit of confidence and the dealership is old skool LR (I.e ex military and Defender) specialist.

Hopefully getting the car from a LR specialist will improve the chances of it being a goodun.
A lot of experts in the rusty tratters though don't know much about the specifics of Freelander and there are a couple that can have expensive consequences. Worth having a read of this thread just to make sure you're doing all you can to avoid them...

A bit of background, I’m also a new owner of a Jaguar XK8 of year 2000 vintage, which I’ve just taken over 45k miles.
Newly retired and having company cars with (mostly) no choice, it’s now my choice!
Even ‘er indoors likes them both!! Result.
