Hi All,

Thought i would make a profile to log the adventure that is living with a Landrover Discovery TD5. I recently found the right one after 6 months of searching. The car will be a daily project for general trucking, camping and outdoorsmanship and in part an outlet for my professionally acquired skills.

Ill be sure to log my findings and adventures for anyone to read. Good luck and have fun guys.

Hi There,

Welcome to the D2 TD5 ownership gang.
A couple of pointers for you if you have not done it already.

1) Download the Rave workshop manual, including the owners manual and electrical diagrams.
2) Find or make a new friend who has the proper diagnostics for a D2 TD5, as they are not fully OBDII compliant.
3) Make sure you have the EKA code. ( look it up in the owners handbook)

Finally, It is worth having a search for TD5 Oil pump bolt amd deciding if you want to check up on it or not.

Cheers

PS, piccies, we like piccies

Thanks for the advice Neilly, ill be sure to do all of that in due course. My immediate plans are rust proofing the underside, service the engine, trans and ACE system, change the other fluids, re gas AC and change the Radio for a more modern BT enabled one. I will add oil pump bolt onto the list of service items to be done shortly. I have photos on my phone but they are a tad pants, ill upload another post titled 'Daily Project' or something to that effect. With more pics.

Hi cropzy, thanks.
