Hi everyone,

I'd wanted a Land Rover for a while and last May I finally had the opportunity to get one and bought myself an X reg Freelander. I'd heard about them having several problems with reliability but I just took to it and it's been the first car I've ever had that I actually like. I have already had some problems with it (which I'll be posting about here shortly!) but I really want to be able to keep it going so would appreciate your advice on how to do that. I'm not a mechanic in any way though, this is all very new to me so please bear with me! Like I say, I really like the car so I really want to keep it going as long as possible!

Anyway, pleased to meet you all.

Chris :)

Welcome to the loonyzone, Chris! :)
Lot of posts on the forum about early freelanders. If you have issues try forum search, if not covered, post a thread in the freelander section! :)

Thank you. Just having a look around now and seen similar problems. (Left rear indicator not working whilst the front flashes double time). Will see if I can sort it myself in the morning. Had so many problems with my previous cars it was getting embarrassing going to the mechanic time and time again. Want to see what I can learn here so I can at least fix basic problems myself :)
