Hello folks,
I am a new member of the land rover community having bought 2 land rovers in the past 2 months. The first been my discovery 300tdi manual on a 97 R reg, the second being the wife's freelander 2 td4 auto HSE on 07 57 reg.

Well done. On the Disco, check service history and change cam belt if necessary, check and grease your U.J's, check the rear drive rubber donut for cracks and change if you see any, change the gearbox oil, buy a wheel bearing (same front and back) and leave it in the vehicle.
As for the Freelander 2, I know sod all about them but I haven't heard any horror stories.
