hi all my name is dennis and have just bought a 2 litre mpi disco, and yes i know that its not the best engined landy in the world but i only paid £400 with a years mot Picture 110.jpg
but took it off road today and loved itPicture 114.jpg
was wondering if anyone knows how to find out about byways and greenlanes etc
any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the welcome guys, im also after a couple of parts for the disco like a clock, and a stereo/radio but as im new im not sure where to ask etc

The mechanism under the bonnet packed up (spring snapped, siezed up etc) so that's what the ratchet strap is for

@brock yeah it was cheap but had a couple of issues bonnet catch,abs light always on, and its not the best engine but it does what i want it to do

My brother that comes off roading with me in his (not sure i should say this on here but hey ho) daihatsu sporttrak has a winch to save my a@*e

easy enough to drop a 300 in there if needed, other problems are easy fix, at least its not rotten

Definately not as bad as some ive seen, has had a tiny bit of welding on the rear end of the sill, and another small patch just inside the rear passenger door other than that she is solid:high5:
 
I sold my 96 XS 300tdi for waaaay more than £400 and it also had ABS light on and 170k on the clock and a few usual issues...Think you done good! :p

I actually got it from a company that we do alot of work for who specialize in land rovers, repairs,sales, modifying etc, they took the disco in for a part ex and were gonna scrap it as its not so desirable with the 2litre petrol lump, so i offered them £350 and they said £400 and take it away
